Vehicle wrap design: assets and preparation
Prepare a vehicle wrap design with the exact vehicle model, measurements, logo, coverage and installer requirements.
Vehicle wrap design fits a message to a specific vehicle and coverage area. The designer needs its make, model, year, body version and installer documentation. Changing the vehicle after approval may require a new layout rather than simply moving the logo.
What should the client supply?
Supply vehicle photographs, measurements or an installer-approved template, a vector logo and final contact details. Identify windows, contours, handles and areas that must remain clear. Confirm coverage and production requirements before design starts.
How can the message stay readable in traffic?
Choose the name, a short service description and one contact method. Test the design from a distance and from different sides. Small text and long service lists can be difficult to read. The Delicja Catering project illustrates identity applied to vehicle bodywork.
Design and installation
Film selection, surface preparation and installation are agreed with the installer. Graphic design does not automatically include these services. Before production, the installer should check the files against the vehicle. A mockup helps assess composition but does not replace measurement.
Project checklist
- Confirm the exact body version and current vehicle photographs.
- Check contact details on sides, rear and with doors open.
- Agree measurements and fit with the installer before production.
Questions and answers
Will one design fit different vehicle models?
A shared visual theme can be retained, but each model needs adaptation to its proportions, contours and usable surfaces.
